Library Policies
The following policies govern how we use our library.
Acceptable Use of the Internet and Library Public Computers
- 1. You must sign in before and after the use of the computer at the circulation desk. (If you need to switch computers, please let the staff know that you want to switch computers.
- 2. No food, gum, or drinks are allowed in the library at anytime or near the computer area.
- 3. use of the internet is one hour per patron.
- 4. Only one person per workstation
- 5. Must be 18 and over to access the internet. (Anyone under 18 must have parental consent to use the internet.
- 6. Installing or downloading files or software to any of the computers is not allowed.
- 7. Changing computer settings or configurations is not allowed.
- 8. Viewing or printing sexually expicit materials is prohibited. (Texas Penal code Section 43.21and 43.24 are the Statutes, which made display of Obscene Material a Criminal Offense.
- 9. The Library is not responsible for damage to a person's disk, or for any loss data, damage or liability that my occur from patron use of the library's computers.
- 10. You are responsible for all copies made from the computers. (If you have any questions about printing, please ask member for help.)
- 11. No chatting is allowed.
- Anyone not obeying the computer rules will lose internet privileges.
